I believe I read it the first time in 1983 or 1984, I carried it like a bible for a couple of years or so. Through this book I learned how to cry again. Few books and few people have had such a positive effect on me as Who Dies?<\/i> and Stephen Levine.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Loving What Is,<\/i> by Byron Katie<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Another masterpiece of a book, by the woman whom I credit with the healing of my relationship with my mother. By the end of the first day of my first workshop with Katie, the wheels were in motion for me to volunteer to be my mother’s companion for the last four months of her life. Before that workshop, I would not have seriously even entertained the idea.<\/span> <\/p>\n <\/p>\n These are old…<\/b>listed because they’re some of my favorites.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Siddhartha<\/i>, by Hermann Hesse<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A beautiful little book. Lots of credit also goes to the books, the people, the workshops, the therapists, and all the experiences that brought me to the readiness to embrace The Work of Byron Katie.<\/span><\/p>\n
